Haw Par Villa Guide: What Is Open Now, Tickets, and How to Visit

·

·

Haw Par Villa is partly closed for maintenance now. Hell’s Museum is still open.

That changes the visit. You need to plan around what is open, not what the park used to offer.

As of 13 June 2026, Haw Par Villa remains under partial closure.

Essential maintenance began on 8 December 2025.

Hell’s Museum remains open.

What is open now?

Hell’s Museum is open daily from 10am to 6pm. Last entry is 5pm.

The visitor centre is also open daily, including weekends and public holidays, from 10am to 6pm.

The main park is only partly open. Check the site again before you go.

Ticketing

Entry to the Haw Par Villa outdoor grounds is free.

The paid ticket applies to Hell’s Museum.

The GlobalTix booking page lists Hell’s Museum General Admission from SGD 22.00.

It lists an estimated Hell’s Museum visit duration of 2 to 4 hours.

The Hell’s Museum ticket gives access up to closing time.

The current booking details list Hell’s Museum adult admission from SGD 22.00, children aged 7 to 12 at SGD 10.00, and children aged 6 and under as free.

Getting there

Should you still go?

Yes, if you want Hell’s Museum or a heritage stop with a strange edge.

Maybe not, if you want a large, fully open outdoor attraction with no uncertainty.

How long to spend

Hell’s Museum is a 2 to 4 hour visit based on the current booking page.

That makes the current Haw Par Villa stop a focused museum-led visit, not a full half-day outdoor outing.

The current visitor pages still point visitors to partner booking channels, including Pelago for Culture Pass redemptions.

Visitor rules

The museum rules are strict.

  • Do not climb the sculptures.
  • No smoking.
  • No food or drinks inside Hell’s Museum.
  • No pets in the Hell’s Museum complex.
  • Do not ride bicycles in the museum.

Those rules protect the exhibits and keep the visit calm.

Who it suits

Haw Par Villa works well for people who like odd heritage places, folklore, and darkness with their sightseeing.

It also suits visitors who already know Singapore’s big-name attractions and want something different.

Who should skip it

Skip it if you want certainty, speed, and a big outdoor attraction that is fully open.

Go only if you are comfortable with a museum-led visit during a partial closure.
