Siloso Beach Singapore Guide
Siloso Beach is Sentosa's most energetic shoreline. Activity, casual food, bars, and adventure attractions surround the sand. It suits visitors who want a social, active coast.
Use the Sentosa Beaches Guide when you are choosing among the three beaches. For a more complete island plan, begin with the Sentosa Island Guide.

What is Siloso Beach like?
Siloso is the beach for movement. Sentosa's official page highlights dining, beach activities, and a livelier day-to-night atmosphere. Visitors can swim where permitted, walk the shore, or use the beach as a base for nearby experiences.
The character is different from Palawan's family-centred flexibility and Tanjong's quieter mood. Choose Siloso when the group likes having options close together and does not mind a busier setting.
Things to do around Siloso
Beach time
Keep some unplanned time for the shore. The sand and water are the reason to come, even when the area has many paid attractions nearby. Bring sun protection, water, and a change of clothes if the plan includes active activities.
Adventure attractions
Siloso is a natural base for Mega Adventure Park and the former iFly facility, now AltitudeX. Mega is an outdoor height-and-speed challenge. AltitudeX is indoor skydiving in a controlled wind tunnel.
Evening atmosphere
Restaurants, bars, and waterfront walks can give the beach a different feel after the sun drops. Do not assume every venue or event is operating every night. Check the venue or Sentosa's current listings before making a fixed evening plan.
Swimming safety
Sentosa advises visitors to swim between the red-and-yellow flags, stay with a buddy, supervise children, and avoid swimming after 7pm. The official page also warns about strong currents, drop-offs, rock bunds, and jellyfish.
Check the beach flags and on-site notices when you arrive. If you see a jellyfish, do not touch it; alert a Beach Patrol Officer. The safest place to swim is the area indicated by current staff and flags, not simply the quietest-looking water.
Getting to Siloso Beach
From VivoCity, take the Sentosa Express to Beach Station and then use the beach shuttle or follow the signed route. Bus 123 also serves Beach Station. Sentosa's official page lists Beach Station Car Park as the nearest car park for Siloso.
Siloso Point is further along the beach. It is useful for Fort Siloso and the coastal route. Check the current shuttle route if you carry equipment, travel with children, or arrive after a long attraction visit.
Accessibility and facilities
Sentosa's access guide lists Siloso-area attractions with step-free access, but specific entrances and routes vary. Beach surfaces are naturally uneven, and access across sand may need planning. Ask Sentosa staff about current beach wheelchair availability and the most suitable approach for your group.
How to plan a Siloso day
Siloso works well in three formats:
- beach first, then one activity and an easy meal
- one adventure attraction followed by a short shore break
- late afternoon at the beach, followed by dinner or an evening plan
Avoid stacking several high-intensity experiences before the beach. The area is convenient, but convenience does not remove the need for recovery time in the heat.
FAQ
Is Siloso Beach good for families?
It can be, especially for families who want active choices close together. Palawan is the calmer family anchor. Siloso suits families whose children enjoy movement and adventure.
Is Siloso Beach free to enter?
The beach itself is a public visitor area, but transport into Sentosa, parking, and activities nearby may cost extra. Check current access arrangements.
Can you swim at Siloso Beach at night?
Sentosa's current guidance strongly discourages swimming after 7pm. Follow the flags, patrol instructions, and current safety notices.
