SkyHelix Sentosa Guide
SkyHelix Sentosa is an open-air panoramic ride with a high view and a calm pace. Riders sit in a gently rotating gondola. Their feet hang above the island as the gondola rises about 79 metres above sea level.
For the wider Sentosa layout, begin with the Sentosa Island Guide. SkyHelix also pairs naturally with Skyline Luge Singapore because both are in the central Sentosa attraction cluster.

What is the ride like?
The gondola ascends and rotates gently. Riders look over Sentosa, Keppel Bay, the Southern Islands, and the Singapore skyline. The complete ascent and descent takes about 12 minutes, including time at the top.
It is a seated ride, not a free-fall or roller-coaster. That suits visitors who enjoy heights but want a slower pace. It may feel uncomfortable for anyone with a strong fear of open heights.
Your feet dangle and the gondola is outdoors.
Who can ride?
There is no stated minimum age, but riders must be at least 1.05m tall.
Children between 1.05m and 1.2m, or children under 12, must be accompanied by a supervising adult.
The official page also lists a maximum guest weight of 120kg.
Loose articles should be secured. Hats, scarves, phones, and other items can become a problem in the wind.
The attraction advises comfortable casual clothing and notes that skirts and dresses may be affected by the ride's open-air setting.
Day or night?
The view changes with the time of day. Daytime shows the island, harbour, and Southern Islands clearly. Late afternoon brings softer light.
Night is about the illuminated skyline.
Do not choose a time solely for a photograph. Weather, cloud, haze, and wind influence the experience more than the clock. Check the current operating notice before setting out, particularly during storms.
Getting to SkyHelix
SkyHelix is at Imbiah Lookout. From the Sentosa Express, alight at Imbiah Station. Sentosa Bus A serves the area.
The Singapore Cable Car connects to Imbiah Sentosa Cable Car Station, and Imbiah Lookout Car Park is nearby.
The central location makes SkyHelix easy to combine with other Imbiah attractions, but it does not need a crowded itinerary. One ride plus a meal, a second nearby attraction, or a short walk is enough for a balanced half-day.
Is it good for families?
It can work well for families with children who meet the height requirements and are comfortable with an open-air gondola. The short duration is easier to fit around a wider Sentosa day than a full-length attraction. Children who are nervous about heights may prefer to watch first and decide at the entrance.
For active fun, add Skyline Luge. For a quieter day, pair SkyHelix with a beach or scenic transport. Another high-energy ride is not necessary.
